About 8.9% of Massachusetts residents (614,589) have received a second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
How many Sterling Residents have been vaccinated?
We don’t have a way to know, but we know it is at least 5.5% (roughly 450), likely more. The Sterling Board of Health does not have access to records of residents who have received vaccines at mass vaccination sites or retail pharmacies across the state. The BOH only has access to the number of residents vaccinated through the vaccine clinics they operated across a multi-departmental collaboration.
What phase of reopening is Massachusetts currently in?
Massachusetts entered Phase III, Step 2 of reopening on March 1, 2021. Updates in this phase include:
-Indoor performance venues open at 50% capacity
-Indoor recreational activities allowed at 50% capacity
-Capacity limits across all sectors with capacity limits raised to 50%, excluding employees
-Restaurants have no capacity limit and can host live music. Customers must still observe social distancing, limit six customers per table for 90 minutes at a time
-Mask mandate and Travel Advisory still apply
