It’s not uncommon to come across visitors at Davis Mega Farm Festival who have travelled an hour or more to experience the fun filled destination. When the corn maze first opened in 1998, it was an “outrageous success”, according to co-owner Larry Davis, who runs the maze along with Davis Farmland across the street with his father John Davis and brother Doug Davis.
“People come from all over the region and very far away to experience all the offerings and celebrate fall, and it’s suitable for all ages,” he says. “It’s a festival ripe with food, fun and fall foliage.”
The theme of this year’s maze is NBC 10 Boston, and throughout the maze there are various stations such as Matt Noyes Weather Trivia, Saturday Night Live trivia, The Voice, and other fun activities.
“NBC offers a wide spectrum of themes to draw from as guests navigate their way through the maze,” says Larry Davis.
Last season, the Davis family decided to reinvent the maze and elevated it to a farm festival featuring award winning Kansas City barbecue, craft beer and wines, live music, and over 50 attractions including a zip line, inflatable slide, and laser tag.
“Certainly, one of the reasons people travel so far to visit is specifically for the maze,” he says. “It has been a colossal success over the years.”
Davis Mega Farm Festival is open every weekend, Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, through October 28, weather permitting. For more information and a schedule of events, visit DavisMegaFarmFestival.com, or call 978-422-8888.
