The Sterling Inn is still on the market after a potential sale to Wendy Collins, a project manager for a millwork company in Worcester, fell through in late April. According to Collins, the week that the Purchase and Sale Agreement was to be put in writing, the Inn-owners’ attorney informed her the owners made an agreement with someone else. Patricia Roy, who owns the Inn with her husband, Mark, did not respond to a requests for comment.
According to Slectboard member Maureen Cranston, the Land Court case for Sterling to seize the property to recoup back taxes is still in the queue with no updates as of now.
